G7: Brighton Trip
On 28/09/12 we went on a trip to Brighton to practice filming in similar locations to those we are planning to film in. We used locations such as a park, the beach, the lanes and a restaurant. We also practiced different types of shots such as a 360 degree pan, an arc shot, and a range of angles and shot sizes.

- As it was windy on the day, we found it difficult to keep the camera steady when using the handi-cam frame. If this problem occours on our real shoot, we will try to use a tri-pod as much as possible. The rain also meant that it was difficult to film some outdoors shots.

- We also noticed that the shot inside a restaurant didn't look as good as our outside shots because of the background, colours and lighting. Therefore, we will try to do as much of the filming in outdoor locations other than the shots in the studio.
- We thought about how we are planning to film our music video and practiced some shots we are planning to include. For example, we used the handi-cam frame to follow the character from the video and took a 30 second long static shot of a character from across the road which we then sped up.
- We think this was a good practice for our real shoot as we were able to see what techniques we could replicate or alter when we film our music video. We were also able to practice some editing techniques when reviewing the footage on Premiere, for example the sped up and slowed down shots and the two shot filmed in the resaurant.
