G7: Pre-Production and Brighton Planning

Costume

We are planning to use conventional modern clothing such as a striped t-shirt, jeans and a hooded jumper for the male protagonist and a similar feminine equivalent for the female protagonist.

Props

The props that we are most likely to use are a Guitar, a Bass and a Drum kit, as well as a microphone or two. We shall pretend to use some amplifiers and use some jack leads for the guitars.

Lighting

The lighting will be faded and dark for the majority of the video, with a blue filter on certain scenes to enhance the feeling of depression and poor relations between the couple.

Location

We are planning to film inside a house, and outside at a park or wooded area. The wooded areas we have come up with include Bedgebury Pinetum as one of the options.

 

Brighton Trip Planning

• After spending time in the Drama Studio practicing shots we want to include in the performance section of the video. We edited the footage to see which shots we wanted to include and what we needed to work on or practice.
• We spent time today thinking about what we will do on our trip to Brighton. We decided that we were going to spend the time practicing shots we are planning to include in our music video including a range of different shot sizes and angles.
• We were given a list of shots to practice on the trip and using the call sheet, we decided how we would film each shot to make it relevent to shots we wanted to include in our music video. We also thought about risks we might encounter during the shoot and what we could do to ensure that the equiptment and ourselves would remain safe.
• The call sheet also gave us some more ideas of the loactions and types of shots we would want to film in Brighton. We looked online for appropriate locations around Brighton that we plan to ues on the trip.
