MS: Festival Poster

Upon beggining this task I researched many festival posters and the construction of the fonts and photos. The majority of festival posters were bright and tried to grab people. I didn't however seek this approach, I noticed a certain festival poster of an Australian concert whereby the cover was dark brown and a brown grizzly bear was the main cover, with a few bands underneath. This was my inspiration.

I decided to construct a similar style poster with a Panther picture that I found. I then researched place names with "Panther" in the title, a few places came up but "Panther Lake, Michigan" struck me the most as the festival could be based on the edge of the lake! I could not find the original photo, however, here is an example.

A Black Panther on a black background was my idea. I thought of having band names in White and Orange tot become more noticeable.
I added band names with a black grackground to blend in with the poster. I chose 9 strong headlining bands to all play. Here are a few examples:

A well known british band, who are unlikely play abroad, especially in the United States of America.
I put "2+2" together and made the band with the black background blend well with the festival poster background. This was achieved by using Photoshop CS3, and took 3 lessons to complete.

For the title and the dates on the poster I used the font called "I Want My TTR!!" on microsoft word. I then clicked print screen, pasted the file onto paint, cropped the image and inverted the colours to then finalize and save the image and upload it to the Photoshop image directory.
This is an example of the font.
To complete the poster I added a web address to the bottom as well as musical notes and a little drop of blood coming out of the panthers mouth.

I then brushed every part that needed tweeking to made the image finer. Here is the final product:
