Uses close ups of band members and instruments
The narrative shows a man (or the singer in the band)
following his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend. Shots of him looking at pictures
and handi-cam style shots of their past together (being together, breaking up).
Locations could include a park or town/café area.
I Can't Stay - The Killers (2008)
The performance cuts between a small stage or performance
area and an outdoors car park or large empty area where the whole band would be
performing the song.
Mid
– long shots would be used showing the whole band as well and the individual
members and close ups on their instruments.
Narrative shows couple arguing in rural location at sunset –
long shots showing their silhouettes.
Also shows past argument between the couple with one of them leaving the other/moving out and then them getting back together/giving each other another chance.
Exploitation - The Silent Comedy
Performance based video - mainly made up of shots of the band performing the song in
an empty room or rehearsal studio.
Singer performing song throughout narrative with shots of him throughout the day. For example:
Mirror shots whilst getting ready at home
Walking through a town area
In cafe with friends
